Wanderers defender Andy Taylor told talkSPORT on Tuesday he and his team-mates decided to take a stand as they still await their wages for March and April. The team have come under fire in some quarters over the decision, but PFA chairman Purkiss insists the call to strike was a collective stance between the players and their union.Weve been there throughout, said the PFA chief, whose organisation offered financial aid to players when they were also not paid by Bolton in December. This has been long-running and the players have reached the point where they have no other option. This had taken a real toll on the players mental health, their well-being and that of their families and were trying to support them.No one wants to see the situation in the state that it is, with games not being played, but the players have been through so much.Weve been there and we support what they do. This is a collective stance, Andy Taylor and the Bolton players are not on their own.
