It just becomes a really important game for us.”

- Charlton have lost just one of their last eight games with Sunderland in all competitions (Won 3, Drawn 4). That defeat came on the opening day of this season’s League One campaign – a 1-2 loss at the Stadium of Light.
- Charlton are playing at Wembley for the fifth time. Their last appearance at the national stadium was against Sunderland in the 1998 First Division play-off final when they won a dramatic encounter on penalties.
- Amongst all club sides, only Newcastle United (eight) are currently on a longer winless run in matches played at Wembley than Sunderland, who have drawn two and lost four of their last six such games.

Pulisic is sure to be a great signing for Chelsea and certainly one for the future but he could block the pathway of some of the academy players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi who has broken into the first team recently.
